- SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work is always as determined by your specific needs. We have provided services to our clients ranging from feasibility studies & occupancy to design and construction.
- PROGRAMMING
We have the expertise to establish a program for your project. This job function determines the spatial and performance needs which will later serve as the master plan for the design project. The programming phase of a project is an important phase. While normally not a part of conventional architectural services, our firm believes that there are benefits in allowing the design phase to follow a programming phase with your design consultant.
- SPECIALIZED CONSULTANTS
The selection of our consultants is based on individual project needs and project location.
Once we have had an opportunity to survey the project’s existing conditions, project site, and/or discuss client needs, we review the backgrounds and fee schedules of our various consultants and enter into contracts for the services needed within the client’s budget.
The fees charged to us by our consultants for Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Design and Fire Protection services are included in our fee proposal to you for the provision of Architectural Services, based on project requirements.
- CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
We have the capabilities to provide a full construction management package. However, under the normal construction administration, we will provide periodic site visits and remain available to resolve any construction issues related to the design documents. We will assist in the bidding or contractor selection process as required by the owner. Most of the construction administration services are included in the design contract. However, construction management services are additional to the normal design contract.
- USE OF TECHNOLOGY
Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is fully integrated into our process from Schematic Design through the development of construction documents. With the use of AutoCAD and supporting computer software, we are not only able to produce high quality construction documents, but we are also able to generate spreadsheets for use in the development of cost estimates, databases for room finish schedules, presentation drawings, and 3-dimensional drawings.
- INDEPENDENT INSPECTIONS
Our firm performs residential home inspections and Commercial Third Party Inspections for Prince George’s County and the Washington Metropolitan Area.
- FACILITY SURVEYS AND ASSESSMENTS
RLG Architects, LLC performs system and structural analysis. We also provide feasibility studies for purpose of future planning.
